In this chapter, Ling zhi tells the story of how the spirit clan defeated the empress. He explains that the gold mirror he used to defeat her is now stored in the ocean of sparkle, and he will use it to destroy the evil spirit clan. He tells his father that he and the other members of the clan have come together to protect the land they love. He also tells of the harvest that has been going on in the countryside. He says that the female emperor, who is now the new emperor, has not slept well for days, but she will be better than he could have been. He has a dream that his son, lingcheng, will soon be born.
