In this chapter, Ling zhi explains that the spirit queen is the newly promoted slave of the emperor's wife, consort huan. The women from the countries ruled by the "phantom clan" have married the emperor, and they have been suppressed by the empress. The empress still has a place to protect her from the "spirit queen" because she is supported by "the phantom clan" . She tells the others that she is late for her morning meeting because she was poisoned and her body hasn't yet recovered. She says that she doesn't want to be late because she wants to have a "rest" before her meeting with the emperor.
