In this chapter, we learn that the final three characters in the story are the three shun players. They are, in fact, the three gods of the story: the gods of shun, kami, and akashi. The three of them have come to the conclusion that they can't stop amaya from destroying the world, because they know each other, and they know that they'll never be able to stop him. They agree to stop the enemy, but they don't know how to do it. They're afraid that the enemy is going to kill them, but then they realize that there are no enemies left. They decide to end the game by revealing the dead players' cards, so that they won't have to kill each other. They also decide to use the joker, which is a special card that's supposed to be used to finish off a game without killing anyone. The joker is supposed to let them finish the game with no more deaths, so they decide to give it to each of them.
