The narrator tells us that he's a freelance journal editor. He's not a student in high school, but he does have a crush on a girl named Takumi, who's obsessed with him. He tries to stop her, but she won't listen to him. The narrator says that he doesn't even know his own name, and that he repeats some grades in order to pass his exams. He also says that his crush is the only boy in the whole of Japan who didn't suffer from the incident at the school. He wonders if they can still be friends if they have to fight, but that they'll be able to still play together this time around. There's also a karaoke box with a phone and an e-req , and a drink bar with a drink in it. It's hard to believe that there's so much going on in this place, but the narrator says he'll just have to wait and see what happens. The first thing he notices is that there are so many people playing the game that it's almost like a tutorial on how to play the game. There are three people to choose from to solve the mystery, and they can do it at any time. The other two people can be decided among themselves. The third thing is that the game is seven hours long, from 10pm to 5am.
