About This Chapter
Ipanema and the new god, lily, are arguing about who should be the god of the new game. The female says that she eliminated a player unfit to be a god in order to select a new god. The lily says that he would have killed her in the first game, but when he lost his right hand, something inside of him died. He says he doesn't think he can kill the same way in the second game. He wants to reclaim his old way of fighting. The male says that they can still win the game without killing. He points out that they have a lot of cards to choose from, and that they don't need to kill each other to do so. He reminds the lily that he can do anything in the game, as long as he's got spirit. The only problem is that the next turn, he says, he has to pick out the dead player's hand and kill him with the card he picked out of the stick pie. He's not going to just pick him and die, he'll have to kill the other player as well. The problem is, he points out, that if he picks out a card that's safe to kill, he can use that card to kill any other player in the same game. If he picks up a card from a dead player, he won't have to change his character at all. He just needs to think about a way to beat the female. He asks why she's doing it, and she says that it's because she has to do it with a synch player. If she does it with the synch player
