It's morning, and the gates of hell are opening. Akashi is awake, and he thanks God that he's alive. He says that he could have won the battle on his own, but that he wanted to save his friend. He admires his courage, and wishes he could be like him. He wants to know why Akashi hit him, and if it was because he was using his "tomfoolery" , which is 20,000 times stronger than regular ice. He explains that he tried to use this power on a bat that he made with his monkey, but it didn't work, so he switched to a metal bat. He's ready to fight, he says, because he has a new skill: permanent crystal flare . He tells Akashi that he fought with him yesterday, and that he was able to get out of his rut. He thanks him for that, and says that these crystals will let him have his big chance. He asks if his rhymes got through, and Akashi says that they did, and then he asks if he killed the monkey. He replies that he did, too, and now he has to replace all three of his ions.
