In this chapter, we learn that Lilith's daughter, Jean-Luce, has returned to the front lines to fight against the Baukaws. She's super-strong, and she's the new leader of the army. Lilith, however, is not happy about this news. He tells her that he's just come to get his broken arm back. He's here to get revenge on the poison lady, and he doesn't think she'll be able to eat him. He also says that the five poison ladies are still alive, and that's why they're not going to eat Lilith first. He says that it's his fault for encouraging Lilith to fight in the first place. He then turns his attention to the other side of the battlefield, and says that he wants to see who the next person to face is. He wants to meet up with the girl with super powers, but he can't bring himself to face her. He asks her if she knows the reason she came back to fight or surrender. She says she does, but that she'd rather die than face Lilith. He reminds her that she used to be a member of the vatican army, so she knows what's going on. He points out that if she wants to kill him, then she has to kill the commander. This is a humanitarian challenge, he says, because he wants her to absorb him with her super powers. The two of them agree to fight, and the battle begins.
