Pitner and the gang are in the middle of their mission when they hear patters. The patters are a kind of wake-up call, reminding them of what they've been up to. Pitner says he's just had a "tremendous energy" . He thinks maybe the boss of the group is thinking about the upcoming battle with the Emerald Ancient demon. He also says that the difficulty of the mission has exceeded their expectations. He hears patters again, and he can't believe they're still in the dark. He's afraid of the red spirits. He wonders if they were all dead when he arrived on the island. He doesn't know what to make of them. He throws a rock at one of them, and the rock turns out to be some sort of organ. He asks if the owners of the organ were exorcists who came to investigate but died before they could get their hands on the magic tools. He suddenly feels bad about the mission. He knows that there are spirits that are "stronger than demons" in the world. He wants to break them all into pieces.
