In this chapter, we are introduced to a new character named Shu-Mingchi. He is a member of the shu-miao sect, and he has decided not to participate in any of the events of the tournament. He has decided to stay and check on Lingling. He tells Shu-Qingchi that he will not allow him to see her, because she is not his property. He also tells him that he is the big boss in the tournament, and that if he does not want to participate, he can just leave. Shu-Kingchi asks if he is okay, and Shu-Gingchi tells him not to blame himself for his actions. He says that he has found a way to cure lingling, even though she has been a demon for so many years. He wants to find out her weakness, and even though he fears that she will die, he wants to help him kill lilith, who is the biggest rival in the competition. He explains that he wants everyone to hand over their applications for the specialty to him, so that he can choose the one that suits him best.
