The chapter opens with the group of students in the meeting room. The group is composed of the top students from the previous chapters, as well as the top student from the new one. The students are all excited to meet each other and discuss the upcoming mission. They discuss the suicide of a student from class 2 and the fact that the girl is from class 11 . They also discuss the whereabouts of the student, who has not been heard from since the previous mission on the Island of No Return. They decide to search for leads in the crime scene that night.
