The chapter opens with the sound of a "swoop" . It's the same sound that we heard earlier in the chapter. This time, the sound comes from the "evil sizzle ma bang" , which means that the evil is about to attack. This is a reference to the ancient emerald demon, which was killed by the current incarnation of the devil. The chapter ends with a shout of thanks from the audience. The narrator asks the audience if they're all right, and they say they are. He tells the audience that he's fine, and that he knows that the devil killed the ancient demon. He also tells them that he doesn't know where the emerald demon is. He's not sure if the old man is mad at him, or if he just wants to get rid of him. He says that he needs to get the "demonic tool" back, or he'll be mad at himself. He wants to leave it to the audience, but he also wants to make sure that the "little red spirit" can handle it. He asks if he can handle the red spirit, and the narrator says he can. The two of them begin to play with each other, and then the narrator asks if they are hedna, the current president of the association. The old man says he is, and he asks the young man if he is also the lover of sun-sidao, the ungrateful bastard. The young man answers that he is. The man says that they've already met three enemies in one day, including the current enemy at the peach-blossom-mountain. He adds that he trusts hedna because she's experienced enough to know that the current enemies at the mountain are even stronger than the ones before.
