In this short scene, Dr. Rivers and the others discuss the effects of the sun's rays on the human body. Rivers explains that the human form is the most powerful of the three forms of demons. He explains that ancient demons had three forms: the human, the lant human, and the true human. The human form has the most energy, but the true form is more powerful because it has the ability to destroy its own form. The true human has the capacity to destroy all of its own forms, but only when it destroys the core of one of its other forms. The only way to do this is to destroy the energy of all of the other forms of the demon. This is a tricky question, Rivers explains, because every time a demon duplicates itself, it consumes energy that would otherwise go to the body of its original form. This means that every time the demon duplicates himself, he or she is consuming more energy than it would otherwise have consumed. Rivers suggests that the only way for the three of them to survive the siege is for them to all die together.
