The next day, Fang's father comes home to find that his son has dropped the charges against him. He's a manager at a research facility, and he's trying to start a project before he dies, but he doesn't have the money to do it. Fang tells his son that the police station has confirmed that his father isn't actually in jail, and that Fang and Lin Xue Luo have given him all of the information. Fang asks his son if he realizes what he did wrong. He says that he didn't want to hurt the old woman, so he just wanted to talk to his father to get him out of jail. Fang says that she's still a kid, so she and her mom can solve problems on their own, but they're still adults, so they can't do it by themselves. Fang blames fang for everything, but says that fang should not have lied to his aunt for so long, since fang is five years older than he is now. He also says that the truth will eventually come out, and since he'll never marry fang, this person will have no connection to their family. The doctor's been unable to find out what happened to the old lady, but she wants to see Fang one last time, before she dies.
