The next morning, Ling Ling asks his father to go to see the second madam. He wants to know if he should let Cong Gang capture one of them and lock him up, or let him capture and lock Ling Ling and let him go. He thinks he should give Cong Gang the capture, but he doesn't know who should get the lock. He goes to see Luo, who hasn't seen him all night. He wonders if she's dead or not. He also wonders if Lin Ling is still alive. He's going to see a lawyer, he says, because he's worried that Luo is trying to exonerate herself again. Ling Ling says he'll go see Lin Ling, who's still comatose.
