In this short scene, Ling Ling tries to convince Luo to return to school. He tells her that she is not his wife, and that her relationship with Ling Ling is a private one. Luo tries to defend herself by saying that she has always been like that, and she does not believe that Ling Ling wants to hit her again. Ling Ling tells her to be careful on her way out of the school, as she is sure that she will be hurt. She tells him that he locked her up and hit her senior, but that he still thinks he did not do anything wrong. She says that he is sleeping already and that he was abused when he was a child. He was locked up, starved for days and his father was still a human being. She asks him if he is really asleep, and he says he was pretending to sleep. She wonders why she gave in to him.
