In this chapter, we learn that Cai Ling's brother, Cai Ming-liang, has been bullying Cai Ling, calling her a "silly girl" , and threatening to beat her if she doesn't leave him alone. Cai Ling tries to calm her down, but she's not having any of it. She tells him that he's messing around with her, and that he should just leave her alone and not bother her. She also tells him to stop touching her wound when she sleeps, because it's "embarrassing" .
