In this chapter, we learn that Ling-Lin's genetic test has revealed that she has a biological relationship with her brother, and that she is also related to Ling-Li. Ling-Lung tells his brother that he should calm down and forget about his feelings for his sister. He tells her that he will always be her elder brother and that he has saved her life by taking her blood to test for her father's paternity. He also thanks her for teaching him how to dance. He asks her why she did not tell him that she was going to the hospital, and she tells him that the doctor told her that she needed to be treated. He then asks her if she was a vindictive girl and if she really wanted to marry her brother. She says that she would have gone somewhere far away if she had found out about her brother's true parentage. He says that he thinks that she hates him and has been like a "time bomb" for both of them. He apologizes to her and hopes that she can forgive him and not hate him anymore
