The chapter opens with a creak at the door of the orphanage. It's an antibiotic, but it's not the kind you'd use to treat a snakebite. The owner of the hospital tells the owner that he's already arranged for someone to come rescue him, but the owner refuses to go unless the owner promises to take his son along with him. He says that he already paid for his brother's death, and he'll spend his life with his wife and son. He's ungrateful and shameless, but he doesn't care if the owner is ungrateful or shameless. Lin tries to push the owner out of the room, but she can't get out of his way. She says that if he touches her, she's going to kill him. She begs the owner to throw her out the door. He refuses, saying that he won't disobey him again. He tells her not to separate her child from her mother, and she says that those who have betrayed him deserve to endure the pain. The foster father comes in, and the fifteen-year-old tries to find out where his mother is. He wants to kiss her, but her mother has disappeared. He asks the foster father to open the door and let him in. The father says that in order to fang the snake, the fifteen must be willing to do so. The fifteen says he wants to go to the orphanage, but his mother has already gone. He doesn1t want to see his mother and his
