Ling Ling tells the gorilla that she's going to turn him into a corpse so that she can marry him. She tells him to give the girl a chance. He's not going to give her the chance to die, she says, because he's worried about her. Ling Ling wants to know if the girl really loves the gorilla. The gorilla says that he doesn't want to die. He wants to die with Ling Ling. He says that if she dies, Ling Ling will bury him with her. The woman says that she nearly died of a fever because of Ling Ling's brother's chaining her to the wall. She says that Ling Ling told her that she would only marry him, but Ling Ling is lying. She's almost died of fever, and Ling Ling Ling says that's because of the chaining of her ankles. She begs Ling Ling to take the bite of the gorilla and let him live. Ling is so desperate that she wants to give him an IV infusion.
