The next morning, Luo wakes up to find that his foster father, Ching-woo, has arrived at the orphanage. He's worried about Luo's health, and he's asking Luo and his mom to bring him to the orphanage so he can figure out what happened to the photos. Luo tells her that Ching-wo is planning an assault on the orphanage tonight, and that he has no chance at winning. He tells Luo that he needs to get to Ching-wu and save him. He says he'll show him the best he can do, and then he says he won't be able to do it if he keeps playing with death. He wants to go head to head with him, and kill him, but he can't do it. He promises to come back and torment him as a ghost if he doesn't stop. He asks Luo if he wants his life, and Luo says he does, but that he'd rather not see him covered in blood. He begs Luo to let them go.
