In this chapter, we learn that the sword that Cai Ming-liang uses to slay his enemies is named after him and his wife. He's sorry that he asks too many favors, but it's killing time for him to do so. He also says that it would be rude to let gan-jiang live in such a shabby cabin, since he'd be helping him cast the sword, so he's going to plant the moon and use stones to nourish the pond where the herb is supposed to grow. He plans to use the stones to grow the herb on the pond, and then they'll leave. The demon asks if he can use all his lost demon power to replenish himself, and he says that's what he needs to do now. He wants to know why there are strange footsteps, but he can tell that they're coming from a female demon. The female demon says that she's too good at basketball to be afraid of losing, and she invites him to her house for a late-night invitation.
