This chapter opens with a description of the "intense demonic power" that is being felt by the members of the Hong Kong chapter of the Brotherhood of the Devil's Enemies. The group is made up of "demons" and "humans" . The Brotherhood is a "low-voiced house against demons" and its members are "all demons in lowered voice / Against demons". The Brotherhood's main aim is to "kill the kind to humans / but as tobag / / humans" , but it is also a "complex world" with "no one knows what they're aiming for !" .
