In this short scene, Kiago introduces us to the heroine of the play, who is dressed as dawn, the goddess of the morning. Kiago tells us that the play is based on the story of two maidens, one who lives with the villagers and the other who lives on the mountains with the spirits of the land. One lives with them and prays for peace, while the other prays to the gods. The village priestess dawn was born beautiful and raised in love, and she is the only priestess in the village who prays at dawn.
