In this short scene, the narrator laments the fact that he has not been able to find a job for a month. He complains that the apartment where he lives is "pretty barren" and that the place is "fucking useless" . He also laments that the only thing he can think of to do about his situation is to "get over it already" and move on. He tells the reader that he still has his talent and the ability to "smash get out" , but that his "ugly face" is preventing him from doing so. He says that if he were a tanzawa now, but with his face, he would be able to "approach people" with a smile. He knows that his face is so ugly that he cannot be seen, and he knows that he will be ugly until he dies.
