About This Chapter
In the palm of his hand, Hirohito waits for his chance to speak with Kishida. He wants to know if Kishida is doing well, but he doesn't know where she is or what she's been talking about, so he's not sure what to do. He's sorry that Kishida's house is so dirty. He also wants to talk to her about his role in the tragedy. He tells her that he was supposed to play the same role as Amagasaki, but when Kishida disapeared, all of the attention and praise landed on him instead. He doesn1t know why he did it. He says that he didn1t ask for it, and that he'd never asked to be saved. He goes on to say that he wasn1t even there to ask for thanks. He asks if he should act like he1s doing it for Kishida, because she1s an important friend of his. He points out that she is the one who forced him to do it. She1s the person who drove Kishida to want for death, and forced him1s to help Kishida in her suicide to stop her. He1s not allowed to do anything other than kill her.
