Before the curtain rises, saki tells us that she's going to use her cell phone to search for her in the audience. She's worried that the lights won't work today, so she'll have to leave the theater. She tells us about how she always follows the glow of the cent-light bulbs on the ceiling to head the bulbs before hand, so that neither of them can see each other's faces. They kiss once, to return each other to exchange faces and renew the effects for another twelve hours. But now, she tells us, the fake lipstick is waiting for the curtain call to start. saki says that he's always been thinking about the audience during curtain calls, so he'd like to find her. He says that ever since he saw his father's story, he could empathize with the story of his father and his wife. They're just not real, he says, and they're valid only as long as saki is their "convenient ally." saki then tells us how she'd feel if she were holding onto her husband's hand while he was smiling in his face. She says that she wouldn't have thought it was his hand, but that's because she used to be so strong with her husband that she lost her temper and became crazy.
