The chapter opens with a conversation between Mina and Harada. Mina asks Harada if she has had dinner. Harada replies that she has not. Mina tells Harada that it is rough for her to wear the ugly face and hide her face during the day. She says that there is a zoo in the area where she can go for free. Mina says that she does not want to leave Harada's place because she has nothing to offer him. She adds that she will not sell her body to Harada and that she is not going back to selling her soul. She also says that her revenge is at hand, and she will go to her own place and finish things on her own.
