In this chapter, we learn that Hiroshi's ideals have been shattered by his son's defeat in the duel. Hiroshi tells his son that he is sorry that he lost, but that he will stay away from the loser. He tells Hiroshi that his son has a good heart, and that they haven't yet lost yet. He challenges Hiroshi to a duel, and Hiroshi agrees to it. He says that he has become the woman he is today because of everyone in her school, and because of her love. She tells her father that he should put down his sword and watch her go down the wrong path. She says that she knows her father has ruined his daughter's life because of his foolish dream of a touwa-west romance. She goes on to say that she went to Touwa to meet her, and she heard everything she had to say about her relationship with Hiroshi. She also says that her love for Hiroshi was no mistake.
