About This Chapter
Act 45 is set in the middle of the night at a boarding school in the U.S. The narrator tells us that he's tired and wants to go back to bed. He asks a random boy at the school if he knows who he is. The boy tells him that it's his little brother, Hasuki, who's at the boarding school. He's excited to meet him, because he'd never met Hasuki before. He tells the boy that he missed his big sister, Inuzuka, and that he was going to ask a random guy to show him around the place where he'll live next door. He says that he only came to see if he could find out more about his dorm and his friends. He doesn't know what to say, so he just asks the random boy what he wants to see first. The random boy says that there are six other kids in the room, and he and Hasuki are going to play with them. He also says that in middle school, there are only six kids in a room, so they can all hang out and play with each other. Hasuki says that's not exciting, but he does say that he can't wait to meet his new friend, who he calls "Kogi" . He calls him a "mad dog" , and says he once tricked his little sister into playing with him.
