The narrator tells us that he's not sure what to make of the whole situation. He's just trying to get rid of Persia, and he doesn't want her to see him naked. He wants her to know that she's in danger of being caught in the middle of a spy trap. He tells her that his family is a bunch of politicians, and they've been spying on her for a long time. She's protecting him, he says, and she should be able to do whatever she wants with her life. The narrator says that he wants Persia to have a normal life, so that she won't have to go through all the trouble of being a spy and a swindler. He asks her to listen to what he has to say.
