Act 105 opens with a flashback to the beginning of the novel. It is the middle of the night, and Hiroyuki and Tosa are sitting in the hot springs of Tosuden. Hiroyuki tells Tosa that he would rather sit with them than eat with the other boys. Tosa, however, refuses to eat with them. He tells Hiroyuki that they should sit with him instead. The two exchange pleasantries, and the two begin to reminisce about their childhood.
