About This Chapter
The next morning, Scott wakes up in the middle of the night. He's not sure what's going on, but he's pretty sure it's because he tried to kiss Persia. He doesn't know how to explain it to Persia, so he tells her to get a grip. He also tells her that they're going to have to get out of the way of the other two guys who're trying to start a fire. He tells Scott to get his "whore" out of there, because the other guys are just trying to "start a fire" . Scott is pretty sure that Persia has something to do with the whole thing. He hears voices outside, and he demands that they get rid of the "idiot" who's "going to get thrown out." He also hears that Scott and Persia were out on the beach when the fire started, and that they were still there when he and Scott took a roll call. Scott's got a pretty good idea of what Persia is up to. He can't figure out why she would want to boss him around like that, but then he can figure out that she's just plain happy with what she has.
