This chapter's epigraph comes from the opening lines of Chapter 1 of the novel, in which the narrator explains that he has met some "truly amazing saints" and some "saints at my level" . The narrator tells us that he's met some of the most powerful men in the world, and that with his wealth he could easily defeat theodore. He also says that he doesn't know of a "formation master" like the one in this chapter. He says that the "awakened saints" are those who are able to use the "power of rules" to gain enlightenment. The red-toad 37 is even worse, he says, because humans have "absolute power over the clan demon." The narrator wonders why he can't test the Red-Toad 37 at all, and he wonders if he is just too poor to test him. He wonders if his wealth makes him vulnerable. He adds that the timing of the war is perfect, because he is supposed to attend it on behalf of his formation department. He tells the narrator that he will remove all of the marks his sect left in his body in a month, go incognito, and break free from his sect forever. He asks the narrator if he can watch the "top 100 disciple competition" tonight at the venue. He hopes that the men will learn from this competition about the "bright sun realm" and how to be an officer in the sun.
