In this chapter, we get a brief glimpse of what it's like to live in the Crystal Palace. We learn that the ghost level is the highest level in the palace, and that horadric has been in it for seven years. He's reading a comic book in the library, and he's lying down on the floor reading. Ooh, that's a little weird. It's hard to tell what's going on, but it sounds like something's up with the guy. He doesn't seem to know how to cultivate fire, but he does know that he needs to use his powers to push the fire away from him. He can't figure out why he hasn't been cultivating the fire yet. He wonders if this guy is really his father's chosen one, and if he'll be able to help him in any way. He also wonders if the fire in the bird is getting smaller and smaller.
