This chapter's opening scene takes place in a giant ice cage. It's the middle of the night, and King Kong is trying to calm down the monster whooshing in his ear. He's trying to get the monster to give him his gem, but the monster won't let him. The ice cage is full of the monster's eggs, and they're trying to hatch a plan to get to the hole in the wall where they can trap the monster.
