In this chapter, we learn that the forces of nature are able to manipulate the rules of the universe. Because they can manipulate them, they have "endless power" and "unrelenting bodies" . In other words, they can do whatever they want with the universe, even if it's against the will of the majority of the people in it. The only problem is that the universe's rules are constantly changing, and the only way to get rid of them is to change the universe itself. In this case, that means changing the universe into a place where the universe is governed by the laws of nature itself. This is the first time we've seen the concept of "god" in this novel, and we're not sure how it fits in with the rest of the story. We're also not sure if this is a good thing or a bad thing, but we'll have to wait and see.
