This chapter's epigraph is from a famous poem by Edgar Allan Poe. In this poem, Edgar explains that he is a thunder demon who has awakened from his self-awakening. In other words, he is the second-most powerful demon in the universe. He is also the most powerful human being in the world. In the poem, he explains that his master, Kerouac, has been trying to kill him just so that he can enter the secret realm. He says that he will acknowledge Edgar as a member of the thunder clan if Edgar can make it to the Secret Realm on his own. He also says that bringing Edgar with them would be troublesome, since they would have to travel through the nine continents to get to the secret Realm. Edgar agrees to help him. He tells Edgar that he has found a bladesmith who can help him repair a weapon. Edgar asks how much it would cost to repair the weapon. The bladesmith tells him that it only takes three star demon cores, qi iron, and ten spiritual stones to make a pure crystal. Edgar is very excited. He wants to sell the weapon to the bladesmith for a fortune.
