In this chapter, we learn that the monk and the hangunsi are on the ship headed for the island, and that they're joined by the bladesmith, who's on the other side of the ship. The monk tells us that he's been sleeping in the bird palace and that the bird lady is the one who rescued them from the island. He's not really a monk, but he does know that she's an excellent fighter. He asks the monk if he can help him find out where the two men are. He doesn't really know what the monk said at the time, but the monk says that the one behind him is "a real problem" . So, the monk tells the monk to focus on improving himself first, and then he'll worry about the monk behind him. He also warns the monk not to mess with the other monk, even if he is already in the "secret realm" of one thousand mountains . As the monk is boarding the ship, he asks the master if he was a "martial lord" of the "frosty moon realm" before. The master says that he was, but that the lady stopped his punch so easily that she didn't want to hurt him. So the master asks if the lady's illness was the reason for her stopping his punch, and the master replies that it was because she was sick. He says he'd like to return the favor of the tao fruit, which is a sacred tao root, to the lady, and asks her to take care not to trust anyone
