In this chapter, the narrator tells the young people that they must be patient, patient, and discreet in their goals. He tells them that they may not divulge their plans for the day since they have a day off today, but they should go out and have some fun. The narrator then tells the group that he has plans to go to a concert and that he bought a ticket a while back. He says that he's looking forward to the concert because he thinks that it will remind him of his childhood memories of Japan. He also says that she's "a rushing idiot" because she'll be performing in front of a big crowd. The group cheers wildly as they watch her perform, and the narrator says that they didn't ask for any encores. He adds that he had no idea that he would meet her before her concert.
