It's New Year's Eve, and the party is over. Everyone is enjoying themselves, except for the guy who's sitting on the couch. He's not going home either, which means he's got a chance to fall in love with someone else. The guy says he'll go back to his mother's house, where he used to live when he was a kid. He tells the guy to go sit on his couch and watch the world go by. He also tells him to take the couch with him when he leaves, so he won't have to move into his own apartment when he goes home. He asks the guy if he'd like a beer, but the guy doesn't want to drink, so they go to sleep in the same bed. The dude is shocked that the guy slept in his bed, and he thinks it's a parasite. He thinks the guy should have come over to his house to celebrate the new year, but instead, he thinks he should have pushed the guy out of his apartment. He wants to know where the cat is, and what's going on with the party. He decides to get rid of the futon, which he thinks is a good idea, since it dulls the energy of the guests. He takes a key and puts it back in the room so they can have another party.
