The next morning, Chika asks to see Hiroshi, who has been giving Chika a cold shoulder. Chika tells him that they have broken up, but that he has never needed a reason to see him before. He tells Chika that he brought food and medicine to Chika, and Chika says that he will take a bath and wash off his alcohol and voice. He says that if he were to quit his music, he would be graduating from university. He wonders if they could work things out of the stink of the fireflies.
