He wants to express his love for chiaki, but he can't, because he has nowhere to go. He also wants to know if he can have a party at his house this year, and he asks if she'll come. She'll have to promise not to come, but she won't mind, since she's always been nice to him. The narrator then goes on to say that he'll never see her again, because she has forgotten about him, and she needs someone to play the bass in her piece.
