The next day, the students discuss the results of the second exam and the upcoming graduation concert. One student is playing violin outside of school, and he's good enough to be named the concert master. He's also a good enough player that he can play with the orchestra at the concert. The students decide that they'll all donate money to the concert, and the concertmaster will be the conductor. The conductor, asano, is coming to instruct at the university this year, so he won't be able to conduct the orchestra full-time. Asano's name is Dowin, and Dowin is a friend of the conductor's. Dowin will be staying in Japan for the year, which means that Dowin's going to stay in Japan as well. He also wants to play in the orchestra with Dowin again. He asks if they could get some of the students to play with them, and they agree.
