The yanshans are on their way to pick up their daughter, when Linghe arrives. He tells the family that he was on his way to Luo's city to pick her up. The family is shocked to learn that Linghe didn't recover the beast, and that he even told the family about it. Linghe says that if the family killed him, he'd get all of his treasures for free. He also says that he'll drop the case if they agree to forget about the attack on the tribe of flowing clouds. He says that even if they kill him, they'll still be able to get the beast. He asks Linghe to tell his master that if something happens to the tribe, he won't blame him for breaking his word.
