This chapter opens with a discussion between the master and the family head. The master wants to know if the family can help him escape his current situation. The family head says that he can help, but that he must ensure the safety of his family first. He also wants to find a way to contact the Tianchen Institute, but first he wants to make sure that his wife and family are safe. He asks for the eldest daughter, yan tie, to be brought there. She has been receiving instruction at the school, and she has not returned home for a while. He tells the family that he is currently with the clouds tribe, and that he will be coming back soon. He then tells the master that the three of them were defeated by a brat. He says that the brat was using strange techniques and that the master has had enough of it. He wants to slap the brat and punish him for his actions. He goes on to say that the entire fire-wolf gang has sworn an allegiance to the family. He adds that the crystal mine above the dragon's vein has been blocked by frost energy for many years, and he says that it was challenging for him to exploit since all inferno martial artists that were put in merely had frostbite injuries. It took awhile for the master to believe that the frost energy could freeze fog and spew ice, but he believes that if he has control over the mine, he can use it to his advantage.
