This chapter opens with the storming of the "word grasping tower" by the imperial troops, who are trying to arrest one of the five leaders of the attack. The leader of the charge, who has come to arrest the leader, is shocked to learn that the leader is actually a member of the martial goddess's staff. He tells the others to hurry up and take down the leader and his followers. He says that with only four of the attackers left, they should be able to escape safely.
