This chapter opens with a discussion between the Grand Elder and Yuliang. The Grand Elder tells Yuliang that he has been appointed the new patriarch of the house of the darkmoon. Yuliang tells him that he was appointed the patriarch because he coveted the treasure of the Heavenly Dragon and brought people to search for its location. Unfortunately, the patriarch's misfortune happened as well, and he had to take on the responsibilities of the patriarch in the midst of crisis. He tells the grand elder that since xiangliang went looking for the treasure and the patriarch feared that his family might be attacked by the youthfeathers, he decided to stay behind and not go with him. The grand elder then asks Yuliang how he will deal with the House of the Youthfeathers. The patriarch explains that the house has experts with them, especially with the patriarch, who is very talented. He says that he already issued an order to destroy the house, and that he wants all of the family forces to be slaughtered with his cultivation level at the eighth level of heaven.
