The next morning, Fang wakes up to find that his friend has woken up. He tells his friend that the fight was a long one, and that Fang was able to withstand the attack for a long time. Fang wants to know what's going on, but he can't figure out how to answer his friend's questions. He wants to go back to the cave, but first he wants to make sure that they don't start a fire. He's worried that they'll be caught in the crossfire, and he wants one of them to stand watch over the place. He also tells Fang that he's the one who's been accused of murder, so they should all go to sleep. Fang says that yuning is just trying to get the truth out of him. He doesn't want to take offense at her, because he knows that she's strong-minded.
