About This Chapter
In the morning, the innkeeper, Hinata, welcomes the travelers to her inn. She tells them that it is now officially a hotel, and that she has trained the other innkeepers in the art of hospitality so that they will be able to run the inn as well as the manager. When the innkeeper asks her what is going on, she tells him that she is no longer the manager because she doesn't have enough money. She asks him if he would like to stay with her, and he says yes. He tells her that he has been training the innkeepers to be more attentive to the needs of the travelers. He says that if he does not win, then they can just make the hotel a girls dormitory again. He asks if he has finally won the right to beat the manager, and she says that she does not know why he is so interested in making the hotel an inn, since he is the guest. He wonders if she is giving him trouble, but she says it is cause for him to be impatient. She says he has gotten so attractive that he will marry her, but he says he will not marry her because she is not attractive enough. The innkeeper tells him to take a joke, and shima says that it might be a good idea to go to Todai and be a hospi-tality, or inn manager, instead of being the manager of the hotel. He also says that they should get together and tell each other how they feel about each other. He then asks her to tell the innkeeper how she feels about him, so that he can tell her how he feels about her. When she says she feels mad because she did not read her letters, he asks her if she
