This chapter opens with Hiroyuki's reaction to the news that his girlfriend, Sarah, has rejected him. Hiroyuki tells us that he'll have to ask Sarah outright if he wants to ask her to marry him. He's sorry that she's rejected him, but he doesn't know how to get her to accept him, so he's going to have to act like a gentleman and ask her for a marriage proposal. He also says that if they were to bring the "love child" thing up now, she'll heed his warning. He says that, like his and Nestor's, he has to do whatever he can to get the two of them together. Haruka tells Hiroyuki that she and Nestor have been invited to a beach party, but Hiroyuki refuses to go. He tells her that Nestor has promised to give her a wedding dress, but she refuses to accept it. She tells him that she loves him, too, and that when a man says he loves her, it is cruel not to answer him. She says that she can't see the picture of herself in Haruka's love picture, because it reminds her of her college days when she was in love with Nestor. He promised to pick whom he liked best when he turned 30, but then his mom died, and he didn't want to marry her anymore. He asks her to stop talking to him like that, and she says that it's time for her to get Sarah into bed.
